Dublin Zoo Wild Lights 2023 – met als thema “Enchanted Zoo” – verlichtte het kerst- en nieuwjaarsseizoen in Ierland met magische lantaarnvoorstellingen.

Van sprookjesdorpen en snoeplandschappen tot levensechte dierfiguren en mythische wezens, het festival mengt Chinese lantaarnkunst met Europese sprookjesachtige charme en is daarmee een van de populairste winterevenementen in Dublin.

De tentoonstelling heeft “Betoverde Dierentuin” als thema en integreert mythen en legenden naadloos met de natuurlijke wereld. Lantaarn displays ontvouwen zich in volgorde langs de zorgvuldig ontworpen route van de dierentuin en nodigen bezoekers uit om levensechte dierenfiguren, een mysterieuze Fairy Villages, een dromerige Candy Land, en diverse mythische wezens te ontmoeten – het creëren van het gevoel van het stappen in een magische fantasiewereld.
