Campus & Programs
Situated on a 407-acre campus within Sichuan University of Science & Engineering’s Huangling Campus, the academy features a picturesque, garden-style learning environment. Our facilities include:
- Lantern Production & Design Training Base
- Zigong Huameng Industry Research Institute
- China Lantern Arts Heritage Center
- Lantern Science & Innovation Labs
The academy offers five major disciplines—Chinese Painting, Oil Painting, Watercolor, Visual Communication Design, and Environmental Art Design—alongside specialized programs in Lantern Production, Design, and Management. With over 600 students enrolled, we are the first institution in China to offer higher education degrees in lantern artistry.
Research & Industry Impact
The academy has developed pioneering lantern production technologies, including:
- W410 Structural Steel Framework for Lanterns
- W412 Eco-Friendly Protective Coatings for Lantern Fabrics
- Water-Based Adhesives for Sustainable Lantern Manufacturing
Additionally, we have established Zigong’s first Lantern Science Education Base, offering hands-on workshops for over 1,500 students, and have launched China’s first professional lantern skills certification program. Through initiatives such as mobile lantern training units, we actively contribute to China’s poverty alleviation and skill development efforts.
